Petri Alava, founder and former CEO of Infinited Fiber Company, has joined the Board of Haelixa, bringing extensive experience in scaling industrial innovation and strengthening global supply chain systems.
Over the past decade, Alava led the transformation of Infinited Fiber from an early stage fibre innovation into a globally recognised leader in textile to textile recycling. During his tenure, the company secured more than €100 million in funding from major industry players including H&M Group, Inditex, Adidas and Zalando, and established over €200 million in offtake agreements with global brands such as Patagonia and PVH.
Alava brings significant expertise at the intersection of industrial scale and commercial execution. Reflecting on the current challenges facing global supply networks, he notes that many supply chains continue to rely on documentation and declarations that are increasingly difficult to verify.
“Global supply chains are built on documents and declarations. These systems are increasingly unreliable. Haelixa embeds proof into the product itself, creating a scalable trust layer that works across industries. That’s what makes it powerful. Not just for one sector, but as infrastructure for global supply chain trust.”
As Haelixa expands the deployment of its DNA based traceability and authentication technology across textiles and luxury goods, Alava’s experience in commercialization and industrial implementation is expected to play a key role in supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
Haelixa aims to build a physical verification layer capable of making product claims credible and supply chains demonstrably transparent. Alava’s guidance will support the acceleration of this mission as demand for reliable supply chain verification continues to grow.
